Six members of the Doyle family died horrendously as their home in Bankend Street, Glasgow blazed on the night of the 16th April 1984. The fire was deliberately set. Public outrage ran fever-high. The pressure was on the police to catch someone - anyone - and punish them for this atrocity. Every day scores of people were dragged off the streets for interview. Again and again the police suggested just one name - T.C. Campbell. Again and again, they got nothing in return. Then one man traded a lie in exchange for immunity. Nothing much, just an overheard conversation. Not much but it would do. On 10th October 1984, Campbell and Joe Steele were found guilty of the murders of the Doyle family. Writing from his cell in Shotts Prison, this is Campbell's frank story of why he was chosen, how he was convicted, and his struggle for justice.
