I really liked the beginning of the book, how it explored human evolution and the spread of humanity, as it was quite entertaining and informative.

However, it all went downhill with the next part about how the agricultural revolution ruined the lives of humans. And not because it was badly written or anything, but because it stopped being objective and became a ramble.

I am not knowledgeable in this field by any means (though it seems that many experts here would agree with me), but I can definitely tell when the claims are totally biased and unfounded.

I may finish this later, not too sure about it.

I stopped reading this book at like 60% because it got way too depressing.

'Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.
This book gets so much hype I just had to pick it up to check for myself what all the fuss was about. Going into it, I was cynical about all the people saying this book "changed their lives". Let me tell you: it lives up to the hype. All of the hype. Maybe it's not even hyped up ENOUGH.
It still boggles my mind how Harari manages to cover so much about the history of our species in this world while keeping everything so clear.
'Sapiens' is my favorite read of the year so far, and I can't wait to read all his works!
