Pero luego nos encontramos con páginas y páginas que sólo tratan de la indecisión de Tessa, debo decir que también me gustó esto y yo sigo amando incondicionalmente a Jem, a Tessa a Will, a Henry y sus inventos, Charlotte y su fortaleza, Sophie... a todos. La culpa no es de ellos, ellos siguen estando bien.
Es la forma en que está escrita la historia, los hechos por los que Clare hizo pasar a sus personajes. Si buscan acción, quédense sólo con la primera parte, en esto como me dijo alguien, es un juego de pin-pon por Tessa, las únicas escenas de acción son dos o tres que no logran mucho.
Lo del secreto de Will, esa cosa que lo atormento por años, no tiene ni jodida gracia. Clare nos trollea bien feo. Eso no fue emocionante. Creo que tiene eso de no querer que los personajes sufran pero entonces queda mal con los lectores.
Siento que esto sólo fue un relleno, no habría sido necesario una tercera parte, unas pocas páginas más, menos indecisión, un poco más de maldad y la historia habría estado perfecta.
No digo más.
P.D. Igual, leeré Princesa Mecánica, tengo esperanzas de que la situación mejore. Y no acepto separarme de mi Jem aún ♥
Repito: los personajes siguen siendo perfectos, es la autora que no supo llevar bien las situaciones.

It is always so hard to write reviews for sequels because most sequels are so disappointing than the first, or it doesn’t live up to your expectations. Clockwork Prince is not one of those sequels. Tessa, Jem, and Will are back to give you the another wild adventure that you may or may not expect.
Tessa had always been my favorite. She is a believable character and I look forward to her narration because even though I was not born in her time, she is improper enough to be relatable (what I mean to say is: she is not afraid to “kiss in carriages”). I am Team Will all the way, and if you are curious, you can read why HERE. As much as I may be that team, I especially enjoyed Jem in this novel. He seemed stronger and more likeable in Clockwork Prince than he was in the first. As much as there is a love triangle (which is a bit annoying now-a-days), Cassandra Clare always takes care of them. She knows how to undo a triangle, as much as she can cleverly write them up. In The Mortal Instruments series, she started with a love triangle which swiftly became just a couple because the third wheel found someone else. I have no doubt that this is what Clare is setting up so if you are weary about starting any of her books because of the love triangle promoted, don’t be. Clare takes care of them quickly, that as soon as you pick your team, there will already be a winning side. Clockwork Prince made that very clear and as much as I might not like the choice made, I can’t wait to start the next installment (Clockwork Princess).
Some people grew up with J.K. Rowling, I grew up with Cassandra Clare. Clare is one of the few authors who can actually make the book come to life, not just in the mind but that her readers feel connected to her work in a way that physically makes the reader feel for those characters, the plot, and all the other elements of her books. Clare makes works of art, each may be better than the last.
Clockwork Prince led me on a path of curiosity and wonder. I am still in the Institute, waiting for Bridget to shut up, singing those morbid songs. Or I am still at Scott’s house, wondering how Magnus sees the world. Still, I am most definitely rereading Clockwork Prince’s pages to get another glimpse of the world that I hope I never leave.

So much love for this series... Still an amazing read 7 years later. So many great characters, Tessa 3 Cassandra Clare really is the Queen of Fantasy for me, I love her books so much !!

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVED IT !!! OMG I want to read the next part ! For the last couple of days I have been doing nothing else but reading this book in every spare moment I had !! I love the world madame Clare has created, with the shadowhunters and warlocks.. I love the characters !! They are all so amazing !! And the story is soo exciting, I really hate that I have to wait for the next part..

Well, I am totally in love with Cassandra’s books, and Clockwork Angel, the book before this one, was one of my favourites. After reading this one, I fell in love again. There’s just something about the way she writes her characters and their adventures that I can’t get enough of.
While I won’t go into detail of what happens in this book, since it has quite the long description, and I don’t want to spoil anything, I will definitely gush over the characters! Time for me to be vague and hint at things mwaha!
I like the addition of seeing the perspective of the book through more characters, and I really liked getting to know about Sophie and Magnus more, even Gabriel and his brother were interesting. Charlotte and Henry are so cute at the end of the book, I just want to hug them! Jessamine I never really liked, but in this one, with what happens, I felt sorry for her which I never thought I would.
As for the love triangle, you get to know more about Jem and Will, as well as find out more about what Tessa might really be. The little bit of love starting between Tessa and Jem was too adorable, but I also felt for Will after I found out why he’s like the way he is. I don’t know who I’m rooting for now!
I definitely recommend reading this book, or at least picking up the first one to try it out. After they’re all released I’m going to read them all in a row!

The plot is incredibly interesting, with many twists and turns and revelations. It was heartbreaking and breathtaking and amazing! Don’t worry, this isn’t a filler book, this is just as complex as the first!
But what really makes this series for me are the characters. Honestly, these characters are amazingly complex yet relatable. Seriously, they are perfection! Tessa…I absolutely love this girl. She’s been through many hard times yet she still powers through. She’s brave and determined and so smart.
But again, as for the first book, it’s the boys that truly make this story. Both are so complex and special in their own ways. They remind me of Sherlock Holmes and Watson, well, the Holmes and Watson portrayed in the movies. That relationship and witty banter is exactly how Will and Jem are. They are like night and day, yet fit together like 2 pieces of a puzzle. And, I know that I said I liked Jem more in the last book, but…now I’m confused! Oh, you learn sooo much about Will in this book and why he is how he is and he’s amazing! So noble and incredibly sweet!!! Normally, when a love triangle ensues, I might like both but I usually have a clear winner. Not this time! Honestly, I love them both so much I honestly have no idea who to choose. I still love Jem, don’t get me wrong, and I still want him to win out, but it’s a very close call. Honestly, I think in the end, I’d be happy with either because I love them both.
But, I’m warning you now, there is a cliffhanger….a huge one (at least to me). I want the next book now! My mouth literally hung open when it ended just because of that one part!
This is a great book. And I have to commend Cassandra Clare for making me fall in love with both boys. That takes talent. With an intriguing plot that makes you want more and amazingly complex, heart-felt characters (secondary character included!), this book is a must read.
