Nothing worthwhile for the last five months, but two song parodies that have stood the 'test of time', and that I should like to get out.
Edward Lear, that delightful 19th-century nonsense classicist, provides inspiration for the first two short pieces, which I like.
But, seriously, it's the two songs that are the main feature of this volume, this duograph:
'Wim' (Wilhelm, William), after the classical 'Wien' (Vienna), in simple German, which you should have no trouble deciphering if only by just running it line by line through the Google autotranslate;
And, 'It Came Upon A Sudden Morn', NOT after 'It Came Upon A Midnight Clear', but the classical pop that I don't know the title of, but if you just let the opening line suggest itself, you might know the tune, which sounds androgynous quirky to me, hence this 'Theme of the Original Androgyne'.
