The first part of the narrative takes place during the Victorian era when Queen Victoria ruled the United Kingdom from 1837 to 1901. The story does not remain in this time but moves on and finally, it completes in 1987 in America.
Primarily the story is about the life of three brothers the Sherwood brothers when from early in their lives, there is a connection of love, loyalty, and camaraderie a strong bond is between them. Their alliance remained through the adversity of their early years with the affection continuing to the end of their lives.
