Chris Evans was born in 1981 to an Irish-Italian catholic family in Boston, MA. He was raised in the Boston suburb of Sudbury, MA, where he first began as an actor. The summer after his junior year of high school, he moved to New York City where he attended the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute while interning at a casting agency. By the end of the summer, one of the casting agents he had interned with had recruited him as a client, and the teenager spent the majority of his senior year traveling to New York for auditions.
