Robert Anthony Plant is a British rock lead singer and songwriter. He is the long time lead vocalist and most important lyricist for the all-time great rock band, Led Zeppelin. From the time of the beginning, Plant's lyrics have always been thought to be mystical, truth-seeking and spiritual. His on-stage role has been energetic because he is alluring and has a genuine stage presence. After his long band career in Led Zeppelin, Plant went solo in 2007 and recorded an album that won a Grammy in 2009 for Best Album of the Year. He has often been thought of as one of Rock and Roll's most vital vocalists, someone who has influenced countless others who followed him. Still he is considered as one of Rock and Roll's "leading lights" and continues to stay active as a musician.
