This is a basic book about how to make a living as a writer. It's not about how to learn to write a book, an essay, fiction, grammar, etc. If you want knowledge on that, either refer to my education book or go to #808 at your local library. If you want to learn computer, internet and word processing, try #004-005 at the library. I have several points I want to make. The first is that writing as a business to earn money is not the romantic dream that you see in just about every second or third made-for-TV movie where one of the protagonists is a writer who seems to live a dreamy, deep, romantic, advanced, cool lifestyle. Writing to earn a living is hard work if you plan on selling your work to publishers who will resell it. If you plan to do it all yourself, hustle for writing contracts for functional work in the business world, self-publish and market your own work, I feel you have a better chance than people writing
