Helen Oxenbury won the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1979 and has been Highly Commended for the same award three times since: for "Farmer Duck" and "We're Going on a Bear Hunt", both of which won the Smarties Book Prize (!991 and 1989 respectively), and "The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig".
