First impressions: This was a fast read & filled with adrenaline pumping action. Loved the dynamic between the two main characters although we mainly only get to see Sam’s POV. I kept turning the page to see what happened next which is a sign of good suspense writing. You definitely have to suspend belief for some things in this story, but I think it will appeal to young readers — especially those who enjoy survival stories or for fans of the I Survive series. The ending was a little abrupt for me which is my only real complaint. Otherwise, this was a good read that I’ll recommend to my adventure readers at the library.
