A lot of the joy I derived from Not In The Script is two-fold: First up, the characters of Emma and Jake were a delight to get to know, both together and separately and there's just something about young love that makes me sigh and wish all romance were as easy as that. I also absolutely love novels about celebrities, especially ones that go behind the scenes on movies and TV shows and Not In The Script was the perfect example of what I love about celeb romances, helped enormously by the fact Emma and Jake were not divas.
I loved Emma, I loved that she was a famous celebrity, but she was also just a normal human being, too, and I loved that Jake wanted to be more than just a model or actor (and actually hated being a model). I loved how their saw each other in the best way, and that Jake saw Emma as more than just her famous persona. They were so good together, with such amazing banter and chemistry.
This was such a fun, delightful, cute read. I can't wait to read more of the If Only series, because it's so much fun and promises such light-hearted reads with characters you really come to care about.
