I actually liked this more than American Panda, which I gave 5 stars.

It's much of the same, including trigger warnings for slut shaming, and fat shaming as well as classism and educational prejudice.

Thankfully, there's also plenty of sweet and genuine romance, with humor while dealing with railing against these tough topics.

Again, I love how it's tackled with tact, communication, and love. And yes, the girl is a mathlete type while the guy is the artist.

As an ignorant USian, renting a boyfriend felt weird at first, but then there's a point to it and the growth at the end.

I can't wait to read more Gloria Chao.

Loved this! Chao does a great job of casually explaining Taiwanese culture/foods/language, so I feel like I learned a lot while also enjoying a perfect rom-com.
