In addition to being married as teenagers, failing in the lease of a gas station during the Great Depression, surviving a deployment in the South Pacific during WW II, Harry and Avalon relinquished a successful multi-million dollar business, gave up their dream home in the country, and left friends and family to move to a small cabin hidden in the north woods of Wisconsin. What would cause them to make such a transformation? There would be no job, no income, no friends, no family, not even electricity or indoor plumbing, and they moved up north in the cold of January. They were pilgrims on a quest for intimacy with God. God had promised to provide for all their needs and reveal the substance of their ministry. The journey was one of faith and two consenting souls who desired to share their love of Jesus.
