After I read a book, I like to read reviews, to see other readers' reactions. Many readers referred to this book as "beautiful", and I have to agree with this assessment. Aimee had been struggling with guilt and loss for over a year now. She had spent a year robbing herself of anything that could bring her any happiness or enjoyment. That is why when she trips and falls upon Cole, she decides to ignore him, but thank goodness for Aimee, the boy did not give up. This book is filled with highs and lows. I was elated and I was sad. I was giggling and I was sniffling. In addition to many "feels", I also liked the way the story unfolded. It was like two stories at once as we followed Cole and Aimee in present time, with their story unfolding, we were also waiting to get all the details of Aimee's past. That story came in pieces, but I liked the suspense. Great characters, great story, and swoony love; that's a book trifecta for me.
