This is my web-log detailing the 7 months I spent travelling across Asia and The Pacific. What started out as a simple record of my first ever backpacking journey, turned into the story of my life struggling to overcome social anxiety disorder - not to mention a couple of other phobias too! I originally intended this as a memento of my greatest dream - to travel the world. It ended up as a carthartic project, one I hope will provide other anxiety sufferers with as much inspiration and insight as I gained from writing it. I never set out for this to be published (it would need some serious editing at any rate) but I wanted to have a tangible reminder of my journey and how far I'd come in my lifelong battle against anxiety. As with all my writing, I try to inject humour regularly - this is not just about the debilitating mental pain that anxiety can wreak but also an exciting, uplifting and at times hilarious trip, with all the ups and downs that come with life on the road. I hope you'll enjoy it!
