The glory days may be returning to Celtic Park. Celtic were the first British team to win the European Cup in 1967, with a team whose 11 members were all born within an hour's journey time of the centre of Glasgow and whose manager was the legendary Jock Stein. These days Celtic players are a more cosmopolitan bunch under the managership of Neil Lennon, and they regularly wipe the floor with their great rivals Rangers in the race for the Scottish title. As things stand, they are also in regular contention for the big prizes in Europe. The Little Book of Celtic celebrates the football club through the words and comments of the many larger-than-life characters who have walked through the gates of 'Paradise' - the nickname of Celtic Park - from Jock Stein, 'Jinky' Jimmy Johnstone and Billy McNeill through Lou Macari, Kenny Dalglish and Charlie Nicholas to Neil Lennon and Scott Brown, heroes of the current day. Celtic are unique with faithful fans to match.
