'Beyond Truth and Illusion' markedly contrasts with John O'Loughlin's first venture into philosophy, 'Between Truth and Illusion' (1077), and does so to the extent of being more akin to the 'omega point' of his philosophical oeuvre than to anything alpha-like at the beginning. Here he has finally answered his doubts and brought his ontological quest to rest on the basis of a collection of revised and reformatted weblogs which have every right to be regarded as aphoristically metaphysical and beyond not only 'truth and illusion' but every other pairing short of joy and woe that one might care to name. But the word 'pairing' is indeed key to the unlocking of metaphysical understanding and to the roles played by truth and illusion in relation to what lies beyond them.
