Nestling in the countryside of middle England, is the village of Effington. It has a population of 143, but young Tracy Chantrelle, the village live wire, seems to be single-handedly working to raise that figure to 150. It is surrounded on two sides by agricultural land and on a third side there are many acres of woodland beloning to the Forestry Commission. Completing the borders, are tree-lined roads that connect us with out nearest neighbours residing in the semi-rural town of Bloxham. Many people express suprise that such a village as Effington exists in the area more associated with heavy industry, but exist it does and in many ways is similar to villages found in the countryside of Devon. There are a number of small shops, varying from a Bakery run by Gladys Wellings, Jim Roses's Hardware Store and a Butchers that is run by Jack (well hung) Bates. It has it's own church - St. Clarence le Lion - overseen by a vicar who has been there for almost five years. He is young, and full of energy and gives his all to his church and his parishioners.
Everyone is very fond of him and he is the type of young man that every mother would want as a son - assuming that she didn't mind him being a trasvestite who enjoys dressing in women's clothing. He's very discrete and doesn't appear to wear anything out of the ordinary when on duty, but who knows what goes on under his cassock?
