A sweet, humorous, and sometimes sad story, which has a bunch of hidden messages. A reminder that we should be kind, because we do not know all the battles someone may be fighting, and that though some people may look as though they have it all, they may very likely be "liars and losers like us".
Things that I really liked
- Bree's mom was awesome. She really worked hard at the mom-ing, and it resulted in a lot of honesty between her and Bree.
- The romance was very sweet. In the midst of many sordid entanglements stood Bree and Sean. They had an easy way between them, and their courtship was quite adorable.
-Read the afterword, because Allen-Vath shares some really personal stuff with the reader there, and it made me understand why certain storylines were worked into this book.
-Though there were some really sad things that happened to some characters in this book, Allen-Vath balanced it with fun, good, and hopeful things.
