Initial thoughts: No doubt, UnClobber was an interesting read, inviting readers to consider what the Bible teaches about homosexuality. What I wasn't prepared for when I first picked up this audiobook that nearly three-quarters of the book would be dedicated to Martin's personal journey. Essentially, UnClobber offers up a memoir with a side of theological discourse. As a result, it's not as in-depth as I'd hoped with regards to the analysis of biblical texts that are often cited to condemn homosexuality. In any case, I still found it thought-provoking with ideas to look into more to better understand views on and attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community from more liberal Christian perspectives.
