This book tells the story of the coins for the Kingdom of Libya and is based on information, sometimes incomplete, contained in the archives of the Royal Mint Museum at Llantrisannt, Wales. The Mint Museum holds three large files containing over 400 letters and numerous images about the Libyan coins. By scrutinising, sorting files and translating some difficult long-hand memos the author has managed to produce a chronological account of the various organisations, offices and parties which contributed to the designs of the first and second coins and their production and delivery to the kingdom of Libya.
