Anne Rouse is a young American poet who lives in Britain, a keenly observant writer of spiky satirical portraits and shapely lyrics of the ordinary and the bizarre. Her poems were featured in Carol Rumens’ Bloodaxe anthology New Women Poets. Her first collection, Sunset Grill, was praised for its lyrical exuberance, and was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation.
