The origin of this beautiful stitch seems to be a mystery. The original designers are believed to be a mother and daughter from Bavaria. Although they never wrote out a pattern, many have attempted to preserve its beauty by writing instructions without any knowledge of its history. This perfect 2 round stitch allows any color combination to work together in harmony because of its unique textured color overlap.
