I will warn you Finding Sheba is not a light read. It has many POV's (Points of View) and a lot of historical facts and many details concerning research. I loved these aspects of the book. If you do not like multiple POV's, this book may not be for you. I love history and love to learn new ideas about someone or something in the past. This novel also had a lot of action taking place in many different areas. It takes place in the Middle East as many people are hunting for Queen Sheba's burial place. Many different political and religious factions want to be the one to find the Queen and her tomb. I've read others' reviews of the book saying it reminded them of The Davinci Code. In many ways I would have to agree. You are pulled into the story and cataloging all of the clues right along with the characters.
Speaking of the characters, one of my favorite was undercover agent Omar Zagouri who is smart, brave and does what needs to be done regardless of his own safety. Omar is a great blend of many action heroes and someone I'm so excited to keep reading more books about him and his adventures. I was always excited when a chapter would come up next with his POV. His girlfriend Mia is also an undercover agent, and they are estranged and have a lot to work out. They keep getting interrupted by people trying to kill them.
The other character I truly loved reading about was the Queen of Sheba herself, Nicaula. She is the strongest female character in the book, and she is a teenager. I have to admit my favorite chapters were the ones telling Nicaula's story. Her story is also one full of sadness and sacrifice, but shows her strength as she endures hardships and rules her country. I could have read a whole book of just her life and been very satisfied.
Finding Sheba is a thrilling read that will keep you involved in the story of present day and the past. The story is brought to life by great writing and a plot that twists and turns from the beginning to the end.
***There is some violence with war scenes and other actions, and some kissing; but no sex. This book is an Adult Suspense Novel.***
