These songs were written/composed/made up between about 1997 and 2011. They appear here in a simple form, with just the lyrics, (which to me are the most important part,) the tune and some basic chords. A large proportion of them are in the key of G major, which suits both the range of my voice and my guitar playing ability. I am not a trained musician. Some years ago a person performing one of these songs said to me, in answer to my question about a particular chord, "Oh, we don't use your chords." I still fail to understand whose chords they did use. However, people are free to set these tunes to any more complicated and more impressive chord structure that they are capable of, or to stick to my suggestions. This should make the songs playable for many levels of performer. I have also not attempted to do anything about phrasing, expression, speed, pauses, etcetera, in the way the tunes are written down. I sing them in my own way; others can do the same. How the words fit to the tunes should be reasonably clear, give or take a few quavers for crotchets and vice versa. I imagine that anyone who can make out the tunes will be able to perform the songs.
You don't need to be a brilliant sight-reader. I just hope that some of the people will like some of the songs enough to use them. I would love to hear them sung by someone else. That would be one huge pleasure.
