Chronologically, this updated biography deals with the band's mid 1990s formation in Iowa and reveals previously unknown facts about their origins, the author having tracked down and interviewed two founder members and the producers of their first demo. The also provided previously unpublished pictures of the band for this book. The book covers various personnel changes that have occurred over the years, their image (they wear masks and overalls) and their frenzied stage antics resulting in members injuring themselves. This edition brings the Slipknot story up to date detailing their activities in 2001 and 2002, including the release of their platinum alboum "Iowa" which topped the charts worldwide and produced several singles. The various members have guested on other artists' records and big selling side projects including "Stone Sour" and "Murderdolls".
