I am DNFing this at the 50% mark, because my GOD is this book boring. Frances Welty is the only interesting character in this slog of a novel, and she's just not enough to carry it.

Oh my word, this book was such a drag. I normally don’t finish books if I’m not drawn in, but I had such high hopes! By the time I figured out that it wasn’t the thriller I thought it was, I was ten hours into the audio and just finished it out of spite.

Overall I enjoyed it. It’s not my favorite book of Liane Moriarty’s but it was still good. This book is very different from her others. My favorites are Big Little Lies and What Alice Forgot. I know it’s received mixed reviews but I thought it was solid and kept me interested all the way through. I can appreciate her trying something different.
