"Aunt Lydia's Trousseau" is a memoir set in Toronto, Canada, in the 1920's and the 1930's. It is a window into an earlier time when horses and wagons delivered milk and automobiles were a rarity. Toronto was already a big city in the 1920's and 30's but far from the mega-metropolis it is today. Aunt Lydia's Trousseau is written in episodic style and each chapter is a story in itself. The memoir is about family life, immigration, adaptation, citizenship, belonging and belly-wopping on sleds in the snowy gullies of the parks of Toronto. Advance praises for the book have been received from more than one reader and one gracious poet was inspired to write 28 poems, one for each chapter.
