The Colours of Nature form a rough account of the youth and early travells of Gibbs, a busker and painter handy-capped by a complex health syndrome. A period in southern Iraq and trecking in the himalaya mountains were followed by independant journies in search of a healer. Africa and the arabian gulf found Gibbs taking up entertainment as a conjuror, crewing a passage through the red sea and landing at the port of Paphos where later he retired young.
