F*ck Love was like a blast to the heart in many ways - and I felt so much for Helena - like the whole spectre of feels was present thanks to her.

(un)conventionally short:

Yeah, exactly that! A real quick review, even if F*ck Love deserves a long-winded one. I am just so very late in writing reviews these days. This story was almost like a parallel universe at the beginning, I wasn't sure what was real and what was not.

Helena was in a relationship that she wasn't fully happy in. She needed to ask herself some important questions in order to move forward with her life. The Writing in F*ck Love is fantastic, Fisher spins beautiful stories with her amazing imagination.

There are a lot of difficult themes in F*ck Love, cheating, going after a friend's man, trying to find love... And I just utterly loved all of it!



He laughs. His smile isn't centered on his face; it's all up on his left cheek like it's drunk. You wouldn't really know that as he rarely smiles. He looks younger, mischievous.

I give up listening to the beach music that was with me through college, and I make playlists that sound yearning and pathetic. I am what I am. I marvel at how yearning can make you disintegrate.

Contrast is important in life. We understand what light is because we can compare it with what we know is dark. Sweet is made sweeter after we eat something bitter. It’s the very same with sadness. And it’s important to experience sadness, to embrace it in order to truly know happiness. I was just a flat line until he came along. And maybe now I’m hurting. But isn’t that what love is supposed to do? Make you feel, make you brave, make you look at yourself more carefully?
