Jo's Boys is the ending to the Little Women series. It's also the book where we get to see the characters from the second book the most as they are now older and waiting for their children to come home to tell them of the adventures they've been happening.
Jo's Boy's also shows a parallel that we saw some of the characters being in the first book Little Women.
Nan is what I thought Jo was going to grow up and be and is a Doctor and doesn't need no man.
Tom seems to be following in the footsteps of Laurie but eventually learns and moves on earlier than Laurie did.
Emil is the adventure of the crew and is one that it seemed at times in Little Women Meg could have been or even possibly Amy traveling in order to do her art and paint all the different cities.
Then we have Dan who is the wild child but who also has learned from Jo's kindness and is the one I was rooting for the most throughout Little Men and Jo's boys to succeed and get to have his dream.

Overall this was a rather disappointing end to the series. It was nice to see all the children grown up and now have lives of their own. But it also felt like they hadn't changed much from when they were children in the Little Men book. I was right about the main ones that Alcott focused on in Little Men being the ones that she also followed and mention in this book.
