I love reading about people who have a deep and driving passion, and Angie was one of those people. Her musical aspirations were huge, and she was more than willing to put in the time and effort to achieve her dream. Though Angie knew hard work was required to get anywhere, she learned a tough lesson about the price of fame, which sort of stole some of that shine, but I am glad to say, it did not deter her from her musical ambitions.
The girl and her dream was a big part of this story, but it was also about first love. Angie had always been so focused on honing her musical skills, and therefore, never had much time for boys. But, maybe, it was because the right boy didn't come around until she met Ten. Angie and Ten had an instant attraction. There was a definite spark between them, when they first met, and it was cute watching the two of them trying to unravel the feelings they were feeling.
I wasn't sure what to think of Ten at first, but once Angie was able to cut through some of his armor, I was able to see just how wonderful he was. I won't lie, he had to do an apology tour more than once during this book, but he had reasons for what he did or thought. He made up for it by being a world class big brother and a rather doting and lovely boyfriend.
I found myself fully absorbed in this story, and I have admit, I was happy to find it leaned towards the fluffy side. I sort of just needed a bit of a break from the world, and this book had the perfect amount of humor, drama, and romance to make that happen.
Overall: A sweet and heartwarming story of finding first love and chasing your dreams.
