Doyle's autobiographical work The Stark Munro Letters (1895), is a meditative epistolary account of his views on religions and their dogmas. Doyle writes through the persona of a young man who is in the process of setting up his private practice of medicine. Set in the Victorian era, it is a reflection of society and religion and a constructive commentary on the hardships every beginner confronts when beginning a career.
