Robert D. Keppel was responsible for investigating and catching the serial killer, Theodore Robert Bundy. In this book, Keppel describes how the two men collaborated in the hunt for Seattle's Green River Killer - suspected of at least 49 murders. The relationship lasted from 1984, when Bundy wrote from Death Row to offer his assistance, to 1989, when he was executed. Bundy tried to educate Keppel in the "proper" way of understanding serial killers, while Keppel tried to obtain Bundy's confessions. It took years for Bundy into being finally out-manoeuvred into revealing the darkest secrets of his criminal career. The book includes letters between the pair and transcripts of their conversations.
