Amanda Lyle, an educator for over three decades, graduated from SUNY College at Old Westbury/Stony Brook with a degree in education; CUNY Brooklyn College, with a degree in advanced education; Hofstra University with a master's of distinction in Counseling Psychology Research in Education; and graduated from the New York Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate in Ministry. She attended Adelphi University as well, majoring in social work. Known for her integrity and diverse talents, Lyle is an avid golfer, a skilled seamstress, and a gifted singer. Her first published work was Stubborn As a Mule, a novel that introduced readers to the resilient character of Stella. Lyle's sequel, Millheaven: Somewhere a Place Between Two Rivers, continues Stella's journey. Lyle resides on Long Island, New York.
