Clayton grew up in Northern California, living in the countryside on what he fondly calls a small horse ranch. His childhood was filled with wide-open spaces and an abundance of horses and ponies to ride. It was a place where he and his older brother easily slipped into the world of their imagination, dreaming up elaborate games and plots with their collection of cowboy action figures. Their adventures often unfolded in the rugged landscapes of the Wild West, but occasionally, they'd steer their imaginative journeys toward distant planets, piloting imaginary spacecraft through the cosmos.As it often goes, the transition from childhood fantasies to adulthood brought changes, and their imaginative games gradually evolved into cherished memories. However, the arrival of fatherhood unexpectedly gave Clayton the perfect excuse to revisit the fantasy world through his children's daytime and bedtime stories. With the enthusiastic support of his wonderful wife and children, he embarked on a creative journey, pouring his energy into crafting what is now becoming The Black Scrolls series. The first captivating installment and his debut as an author is Zandermore - A Day Like No Other.
