Deborah Jones, PhD, is the Zachary Smith Distinguished Term Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She conducts research to advance the understanding and treatment of children and families with a particular interest in increasing the reach and impact of effective parenting strategies. Dr. Jones has published over 100 research articles and book chapters. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who devotes substantial time to training clinical psychology graduate students in parenting. She also gives workshops for community agencies, professionals, and parents to provide up to date training on effective parenting strategies. Dr. Jones has received numerous awards for her research and training.
