I currently live in Wilmington, North Carolina, a beach town along the spirited Atlantic coastline, but was born and raised in Michigan. Then, for eighteen years, I lived in Northern California. I kept moving, though, and relocated to Wisconsin for a stint before landing in Wilmington. ENCHANTED EMBER is my first novel. I've also published guest editorials and press releases, and a fictitious poetry piece. I raised my son as a single parent but always found time to write. Exploring this planet with my son was the ultimate, positive experience, from diaper to diploma. I cherish those days! Today, my son keeps my light glowing even though he's been out of the house for many years; he's on his own path. While parenting him I was a special education teacher for twenty years but then shifted gears. For the past five years, I've been employed as a part-time faculty at UNCW, a university in Wilmington where I teach tai chi. I write every day. I'm also learning the art of self-publishing, namely for Enchanted Ember. Tai chi has been an active mainstay in my life since 1998. Tai chi, writing, meditation, and surfing are great for the soul! All this keeps me buoyant, healthy, and happy. May you, too, remain ambitious and positive, in all that you do.
