Michelle A. Darnell grew up in Montana before moving to Eastern Washington in 1999 to attend Gonzaga University, where she earned her B.A. She then completed her graduate work in Portland, Oregon. Delighted to be forever done with school, Michelle now lives in Eastern Washington with her husband and cat. When the weather cooperates, she rides her bike or rounds up her sisters and camera to go hiking. When the weather is less than ideal, she reads, writes, and paints.
