Chantal Lyons is a naturalist and writer, and science communicator with consultancy Mindfully Wired. After growing up in the tidy countryside of Kent, her encounters with the rewilding movement opened her eyes to the urgency of reintroducing lost species and inspired her to study the relationships between people and wild boar in the Forest of Dean. Chantal’s first book, Groundbreakers, was winner of the Marsh Book of the Year 2024 and shortlisted and highly commended for the Wainwright Prize for Writing on Conservation. Chantal currently lives in Gloucester, never too far from the boar.
