Nichole Vasquez-Sutter is Pay�mkawichum from the Pechanga Band of Indians. She grew up in the Inland Empire of Southern California and currently lives with her family on Wiyot and Yurok land in Northern California. She attended Humboldt State University and earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy while minoring in Native American Studies and Studio Art.
