Armin Warda is the FSI EMEA Chief Technologist at Red Hat. He supports Red Hat's Financial Services customers and partners in the adoption of Red Hat technology, particularly in regard to Operational Efficiency, Security & Compliance as well as on their journey to Hybrid Cloud. He is currently exploring the impact of proposed European regulations and initiatives on the financial services industry and their IT providers, such as the Digital Operational Resiliency Act (EU-DORA) and the Artificial Intelligence Act (EU-AIA). Among his areas of interest are also Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) aspects of IT, Trustworthy AI, and the potential transformation of the Payment Industry through the introduction of StableCoins by Big Tech Companies and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) as currently being discussed by central banks around the world, the EU and G7.
Armin has recently joined Red Hat. Prior to his current role, he worked for 22 years at Postbank Systems as a Senior IT Architect for Postbank and Deutsche Bank. Armin holds a master's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Dortmund.
