Brennan Gilpatrick and Gregory Lang, after bonding in the sixth grade over a mutual love for genre films and video games, wasted countless study halls chatting about how they would adapt their favorite stories to other media, if given the opportunity. These brainstorming sessions lasted well into their adult lives, and what began as casual musings on sci-fi and horror conventions shifted to a serious discussion around an all-consuming question: If Brennan and Gregory had the opportunity to tell their ultimate postapocalyptic story, what would it look like? The answer, they would soon find out, was Battery Life.
