Nala is an elementary student who struggled with writing at school. The writing process was challenging for her, and she began avoiding the task. With family support, she began increasing her confidence and writing abilities. Nala began to write about topics that she was interested in extending into a story. After editing one of her stories, she spontaneously laughed. Nala began sharing her stories with the family and the rest is history. As she began composing, she developed an authentic voice to share her experiences and speak to the next generation of writers.
