Iris Jemison (Marci J.) is a graduate of Talladega College and wasan educator in the public school system for 25 years before retiringin June of 2021. In her spare time, she loves to write poetry, readnovels, and travel. She is married to her high school sweetheart andhas 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Irisloves to write children's literature because it gives her a chance toteach morals, values, and introduce children to different conceptsabout the world in which they live.
