Kim Bates is a children's book author from the Alabama Gulf Coast. She is a daughter, wife, and mother. She lives with her husband Tim and her son Landon and enjoys the peaceful quiet of the country. Kim has been many things throughout her life. This includes a farmer's daughter, which cultivated a love for animals; a piano player, which instilled a deep love for music; and a shipyard worker, which has taught her that sometimes the hardest work is the most fulfilling.
