Dr. Erin K Stapleton is a Lecturer in Media and Communications in the School of Culture and Communication. Their research interests lie in intersections between gender and queer theory, colonialism and critical diversity studies, digital cultures, and continental philosophy. Her essays have been published in a number of edited collections, including Acephale and Autobiographical Philosophy in the 21st Century, Genre Trajectories, Teaching Gender, and True Detection, as well as in the journals Rhizomes, Overland and Third Text (forthcoming, May 2022). Their current research projects focus on platform design that facilitates gender-based digital abuse, and tracking the distinction between 'anti-vax' and vaccine-hesitant discussion on social media.
