As a child, Kirsten Ellen Johnsen moved with her parents to land in Northern California in the early 1970s as part of the Back-to-the-Land Movement that swept the nation. It was there, running free with the other kids in lush green forests and meadows, that she met Oberon and Morning Glory Zell as the parents of one of her friends in the community. As she grew up, Kirsten began to learn magical lore, mythology, Wicca, and Druidry from Oberon and Morning Glory. The study of spiritual traditions from around the world has been a lifelong pursuit for Kirsten. Kirsten shares the land she grew up on in Northern California with her three sons. She is currently completing a PhD in Mythological Studies for Pacifica Graduate Institute.
