Norm Mitchell has lived in Minnesota for over thirty years, although he was born and grew up in New York City. His first story was published at the age of six in the school's literary magazine. In the fourth grade, he discovered a love of history, especially Russian, German and Balkan and that, along with writing, has been a lifelong passion. He has a B.A. in history and a minor in philosophy from Tulane University in New Orleans. He has traveled extensively in North America and Europe and many of those experiences have found their way into his novels.
