Tatiana Outkina holds a PhD in computer science and has more than fifty years' experience working in the information technology sector. For the last twenty years, she has been focused on information and cyber security, holding positions of senior security consultant in the financial and telecom industries. Her practical knowledge in information security has been enriched with business practice through handling her own IT company, and with security training and education practice, as well as faculty positions with Canadian colleges and universities. Working in business and security services delivery, Tatiana became involved in business and information security management discussions and contract negotiating, which gave her a chance to perform analysis on issues that emerge during such discussions. Over the years, with up to a thousand contracts reviewed and discussed, she has collected enough analytical content to create the basis of this book.
